The Packet Utilization Standard or PUS for short is an application-level interface standards for space-based applications. It is defined by the European Space Agency (ESA) in this document. The PUS is widely used on European space missions.
The CORDET Framework covers the management of generic services. Its service concept is derived from the service concept of the PUS. The PUS pre-defines a number of services. The PUS Extension of the CORDET Framework is a project to specify, implement and qualify the components which implement the most commonly used PUS services. The specification of these services is available in this document. The implementation and qualification are currently on-going. Access to the development version of the PUS Extension of the CORDET Framework are available on request.
The PUS Extension of the CORDET Framework is baselined for use in one of the instruments of the SMILE satellite.
